Amanda Seyfried only dates people she’s “immediately sexually attracted to”.
The actress plays Linda Lovelace in an upcoming biopic based on the adult movie star’s life.
Amanda is the cover star for the latest US edition of Elle magazine where she discusses her love life without inhibitions.
“Everybody I’ve dated I’ve been sexually attracted to immediately,” she stated. “Sparks don’t grow – your vagina doesn’t become more inclined to wanting someone just because you’re around them.”
Amanda inherited the risqué part in Lovelace from Lindsay Lohan, who was originally cast as Linda. The 27-year-old knew the role would be a challenge.
“I read the script and I was like, ‘Wow, this is the riskiest thing that’s happening [in Hollywood] right now,’” she continued.
Linda became a household name after featuring in titles such as Deep Throat in the ’70s and later spoke out against the pornography industry. Amanda hesitated before accepting the role.
“The first thing you think about is that it could have ruined my career,” she shared. “At the same time, I was like, ‘This is my chance to show them, to show the industry, to be recognised.’”
Amanda also discussed her past relationship with British actor Dominic Cooper. She will always have feelings for him, but revealed she has now moved on with a new partner.
“[He's] someone separate from my industry life. I’ve known him since he was 16 …” she teased.
“I picture him as the father of my children all the time. But it is a fantasy right now.”
