Malaysian born child actress Crystal Lee became the first 10-year-old to win Best Actress at the Shanghai International Film Festival, the youngest actress ever to win the prestigious accolade.
As reported on Hong Kong Herald, Crystal, who portrayed Nick Cheung's character's neighbour in Dante Lam's upcoming movie, "MMA" (also known as "Unbeatable") had to stand on tiptoe during her speech as the microphone was too tall for her.
Crystal, who was all smiles, greeted the audience in Malay, English, Japanese and Cantonese, and said, "Good evening everyone! First, I want to thank the director and film company for giving me this opportunity. I also have to thank the judges. Thank you all."
Meanwhile, actor Nick Cheung was full of praises for little Crystal, saying, "It is very difficult to win an award here due to many other international competitors. I couldn't believe that Crystal had just won the best actress award. She is the youngest film Queen ever."
