By now the story of Taylor Swift’s little shot at One Direction’s Harry Styles has hit just about every media outlet in the world. For those of you who don’t know what happened: when Taylor won an award for the song “Trouble” her acceptance speech included revealing who the subject of the song was. Swift said of that individual, “knows exactly who he is” as the cameras panned right to Styles. Swift was later seen mouthing some foul language to Selena Gomez when One Direction took the stage.
According to The Huffington Post, One Direction was short and simple in their reply to the situation: “Hashtag get over it”. Short, simple, impactful. Well done boys. Styles himself remained relatively mum about the situation and preferred to discuss his encounter with Rihanna at the show. They don’t seem to be overly effected by poor old Taylor’s ill-feelings towards their bandmate.
Thus, the Taylor Swift guy drama continues. If you think about it Taylor Swift has dated her fair share of guys. Unsurprisingly, each guy has his own song and most of her songs are about heartbreak or something negative. At what point do we focus on the common denominator on this one? It’s Taylor Swift!
